After installing Kocoon, sign in with your Apple ID or Google account as the parent/guardian. Create a child profile by entering a first name or nickname and selecting an age range. You can then configure time limits, content filters, and Calm Mode preferences from the Parental Controls screen.
A parent/guardian account is required to save settings across devices and access premium features. Children do not have their own accounts. We never collect personal information about children beyond a first name or nickname.
Kocoon is designed for children ages 2 to 12. Content filters and recommendations automatically adjust based on the age range you set for each child profile.
All subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID. To cancel or modify:

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find the Kocoon purchase, and select Request a Refund. If you need help, email us and we'll guide you through the process.
Open Kocoon, go to Settings → Subscription, and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
Calm Mode is a gentle viewing setting that reduces visual stimulation: softer colors, slower transitions, and optional binaural beat audio designed to help kids stay focused and relaxed. You can toggle Calm Mode from the home screen or schedule it for specific times.
Open Kocoon, go to Parental Controls → Time Limits. You can set daily watch time per child profile, schedule bedtime cutoffs, and configure automatic break reminders.

Tap and hold any video to bring up the report menu, then choose Report → Inappropriate Content. The video will be hidden from your child's profile immediately, and our team will review it. You can also email hello@lawboticlabs.com with details.
To delete your account, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account within the app, or email hello@lawboticlabs.com from the address associated with your account. We will permanently delete your account and all associated data within 30 days.
Almost none. Watch history and usage statistics are stored only on the device, never on our servers. We do not collect children's email addresses, phone numbers, location, photos, or contact lists. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
Yes. Kocoon is designed for children and complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar international regulations. We do not show ads, do not use advertising SDKs, and do not share data with advertisers.
Update to the latest version of Kocoon from the App Store, then restart your device. If crashes continue, email us with your device model, iOS version, and what you were doing when the crash occurred. Anonymous crash reports help us identify and fix issues quickly.
Kocoon uses Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In, so there is no separate password to manage. If you're having trouble signing in, make sure you're using the same Apple ID or Google account you used to create the parent profile. For Apple ID issues, visit support.apple.com/apple-id.
Binaural beats require stereo headphones to work correctly. Without headphones, the audio is automatically muted. If you're using headphones and still have issues, check your device volume and that audio isn't routed to another device (AirPlay, Bluetooth speaker, etc.).
